Marina Galatsinou has been studying and practicing the art of movement since she was seven years old. She studied ballet up to twenty years old. During graduate and post-graduate studies at University of Athens at Political Science Department, she received flamenco dancing classes in Greece and in Spain, and she took part in an amateur dancing group. She has co-ordinated and implemented European Programmes activities for many years in the private and public sector. In search of a wellbeing, being a mother of two sons, she got inspired by Pilates method as a healthy way of body and mind connection and she decided to devote herself professionally into it.
She is a fully certified Pilates instructor in the 500 hours’ Comprehensive Pilates course of the American organization Body Arts and Science International (BASI TM) mat and equipment exercises (reformer, wunda chair, Cadillac, ladder barrel etc.). She has been teaching consequently since 2012. She frequently attends seminars, especially on therapeutic Pilates. Her main pursue is to make it possible for others to improve their wellness and to achieve a better body-mind balance.
Marina designs programmes with special attention to the “mature age” and people with chronic problems, lower back pain, shoulder impingements, hip injuries as an answer to ageing. She shares the joy of safe exercising in combination with breathing and gradual building-up of human body knowledge.
