- VinyasaVinyasa Flow or Flow Yoga, is a faster paced yoga class in which movement is synchronized to the breath. Poses (asanas) are performed in a flowing motion and the breath acts as an anchor to the movement as you transition from one pose to the next. A Sun Salutation is an example of a vinyasa, where each movement in the series is done in time with an inhalation or an exhalation. In Vinyasa Yoga the whole class is done in such manner, while holding certain poses for a number of breaths in between flowing transitions.
