Η ολιστική προσέγγιση του Kalaripayattu αποτέλεσε τη βάση για τις πολεμικές τέχνες που αναπτύχθηκαν μετέπειτα και για το λόγο αυτό θεωρείται ιστορικά ως η μητέρα των πολεμικών τεχνών. Το Kalari YogaDance training είναι ο σχεδιασμός που προτείνει την εκμάθηση των animal postures του Kalaripayattu. Kalari Yoga Dance proposes the learning’s of the 8 animal postures of Kalaripayattu. The animal postures are the positions and the kinesiological animal behaviours, in which the body exercises control and flexibility. These particular characteristics of this type of yoga represent Yoga in motion of animal postures, resulting as animal patterns.Kalari Dance expands the kinesiological part of this martial art (Mai Thari), through the philosophy of deconstruction and the logic of composition. It emphasizes in the dance dimension of the motion and is based on choreographic compositions and improvisations techniques.Kalari Yoga and Kalari dance are two sides of the same instructional design, because the practice of Kalari dance requires experience in Kalari Yoga: Animal patterns of Kalari Yoga are evolving choreographically in Kalari Dance and connecting the entire theory and practice of dance and practices of Qi Gong and Falun Dafa.

Kalari YogaDance Workshop is suitable for people who practice other types of Yoga, to amateur and professional dancers, and to those who are involved with martial arts, pilates and fitness.

ABOUT KALARIPAYATTU
Kalaripayattu is the martial art of South India (Kerala Region) and it’s history begins in the 12th Century A.D. This Martial Art is a complete system of body treatment and movement, which includes: the Mai Thari (body control exercise), The Kol Thari ( battle with wooden weapons), the Anka Thari ( battle with metal weapons), the Verum Kai ( fight with bare hands) and also healing practices (method Ayurveda).The holistic Approach of Kalaripayattu was the basis for the martial arts that have been developed later and therefore is still considered historically as the mother of all martial arts.
