Polyxeni Aklidi
Polyxeni is a freelance actress with a rich background in physical movement work. Her interest for meditation and yoga was triggered during her studies in drama school, where she started sensing the innate wisdom of the body. During the last ten years, while working on stage, she has kept an intensive yoga practice. In and all she has found the two complementary in a beautiful way.
Her love for yoga and performance have led her to travel around the world, from Brazil to India, to the States, England and Costa Rica she has had the opportunity to connect with great teachers as well as share her knowledge and inspiration along the way. She has studied extensively within various yoga practices and she is one of the few Certified Jivamukti Yoga teachers based in Athens.
The core concern of her practice is mindfulness; being present every moment with the body and breath. While teaching, her goal is to create a space for practitioners to feel inspired, nurtured and grounded. Somehow re-visiting life that 'happens' through us is for her a great source of energy and calm.

Leading workshops, retreats and Yoga Teacher Trainings is how she dedicates herself to spreading the transformational gift of yoga!
Her introduction to yoga began in NYC in 1993 after years of ballet, several nagging injuries, and much soul searching, she found her way into an Ashtanga class. What a humbling, yet magical experience! It wasn’t until she moved to California that she began to seek out this “yogic lifestyle” and embrace it mind, body and soul. Having been influenced by so many gifted teachers, she gives thanks for each one of them and hopes that she can be a vessel through which God’s Grace and gifts may flow... forever a student!
Encouraging others to practice in life what they practice on their mat… to have the courage to open themselves up, lead with their hearts, flow with grace, and then allow that grace to flow into their lives!)
Students are taught in an environment created to help them feel supported, allow for growth and nourish their personal and spiritual practice. This is done by giving them the chance and opportunity to dive deep and self-reflect in a safe and nurturing environment, exploring the path of Yoga and all of its teachings.
