• 100 hours of teaching experience.
•Repetitive anatomy seminar of 8 hours, which will take place in Swaha Yoga Center.
The first part (Section 1, 2 and 3) Leads to 2 degrees:
500hr RYT, recognized by Yoga Alliance and
700hr CYT (BA of Yoga Therapist)

The second part (Sections 4 and 5) consists of 300 additional hours, which lead to a degree of 1000 hours Yoga Therapist, recognized by the International Organization of Yoga Therapists (IAFT).

The key fact of the educational program Yoga Impact - Therapeutic Yoga, is the gathered knowledge of director Nancy Candea through her personal work with Yoga Impact, an organization dedicated to empower vulnerable groups of people through therapeutic Yoga practices.
Nancy has trained with many different teachers throughout her 28- year Yoga practice, she has been teaching for 17 years now and she has been training Yoga teachers for the last 6 years. She has had her private Yoga studio for 5 years. Everyone who teaches at Yoga Impact is a dedicated Yogi and expert in specialized topics.
The teaching hours of CYT are divided into sections (intensive 12 days 12 trainings), video conferences every 2 months, online courses, elective courses and personal study hours. The first 3 sections (leading to 500 hours and RYT 700 hours CYT) start with an intensive year of study with members of Yoga Impact. The courses' videos will be available on line, so that there is the chance of a repetition. Homework and personal practice may be completed within the next 2 years. An online folder with all the tasks and the documenting competencies will be presented to the Director in a personal meeting, in order to decide if all the training criteria are fulfilled.
Section 4 consists of 2 intensive weekends, selection study, study groups and personal meetings with the director. Section 5 consists of selection study, group studies and personal meetings with the director.
Students can choose from many electives aimed at helping vulnerable groups of people. An online folder of all the work and practice evidence will be presented to the director in a meeting, to determine whether the criteria for all these additional 300 hours are fulfilled. Students must have personal practice (see below) and create a library of sources during the training. All the 1000 hours will need 2 to 5 years to be completed. A maximum of 300 hours made in other programs can be transferred to the degree, after the approval of the director.
This training focuses on the Yoga Philosophy and the study presented at the Training Manual of Yoga Impact, (YI) as well as on other books by distinguished teachers and therapists. The basic principles of the YI manual are the 5 Points of Wellbeing, which educate and empower people in order to be able to prevent and care for themselves and their treatment. The 5 Points of Wellbeing are inspired by the basic principles of Yoga, such as Koshas and Pantanjali of Ashtanga Yoga and supported by scientific research. The 5 Points of Wellness are a very successful model to convey the techniques of Yoga and the peoples’ lifestyle. This model gives therapists specific criteria in order to assess the capabilities of their clients’ wellness. After Module 4, the therapist can be introduced as a professional on Ayurvedic practices treatment and will already have the foundations to work with other professionals in health services.

The training is also based on the deeper understanding of the methodology of teaching. Successful teaching requires a teacher to be coordinated with his/her students and communicating, taking into account the level of knowledge, the natural ability and personal background of each student. This training covers the principles of demonstration, observation, assistance and correction, different teaching styles, teacher's qualities and the procedure trough which students are learning. Students will focus on using a central idea to integrate their lessons, on teaching by using hand corrections, on the special needs of people and how to adjust their teaching based on each body type, injuries and handicap.
Continuous study of Yoga Philosophy is the key to evolve yourself in the path of Yoga. We will have debates which will enhance our understanding of this wisdom. Group and personal study of Vedas, Upanishads, The Bhagavad Gītā, and Tantric Philosophy are included. We will also explore the relationship between Sutras Patanjali Yoga and modern psychology. We will discuss about the Yogic lifestyle, the morality, the legal and professional framework of a Yoga Thearapist. Strategic promotion of classes, Seva projects and seminars will be discussed in private with the director. The trainees must follow a daily routine in which they may include choices and principles of a Yoga and kriyas lifestyle. Students should also do physical practice, chanting and study books 3 to 4 times per week.
