Enjoy the space and simplicity of the beautiful "wantilan". A roofed yet open Balinese structure, perched on a cliff top, overlooking our private beach and the ocean behind it.. The name of this site is "Balian", signifying healer or shaman.. But you don’t have to be one to feel the energy flowing here.. This is a truly great opportunity to absorb the healing and rejuvenating power of nature, in spectacular surroundings.

The menu includes local organic vegetarian diet buffet, with many delights such as papaya salad, Curry – Tempe, Balinese sampal, black rice pudding and fresh juice every morning!

If you like surfing, a five-minute walk brings you to Balian Break, a fast and powerful wave within sight of the hotel. The Balian Break is only 10 minutes walk from Gajah Mina Resort. There are very consistent waves..

Also a memorable 3 mountain bike trip , will take you down the wooded slopes of nearby volcano Batu Karu and through traditional villages and their clove, coffee and cocoa plantations.

It changed my life, rocked my world, changed the way I saw and understood life and introduced me to one of my first Teachers. India changes your perspective. But in Bali I fell in love. I fell in love with the people, their incredible devotion and kindness, their sense of humor and gentle ways. I fell in love with the jungles and the rice fields, the palm trees, fresh coconuts and the beaches. I fell in love with surfing! (and broke my first board. I didn't say i was good at it!) I met my second Teacher and learned how to hear with my heart. I got a massage everyday, ate off the trees, went to magical Yoga classes and danced like a maniac with my 6 year-old-self at 10 in the morning. I discovered a softness in the world that i wasn't aware of, a softness that can only come from the beauty and magic of Bali. So now, 3 3 years later, I will return with my baby, husband, friends and students. Because, when a place is this magical, trans formative and special, you just want to share it with the world.
